Pricing
One monthly subscription, two plans.
iotferma.ro owns, installs and maintains the field equipment. You pay only the subscription, sized to your farm.
Everything included in the subscription
The field equipment
Soil stations at depths chosen for the crop, an 8-in-1 weather station and a LoRaWAN gateway with 4G connectivity and solar power — installed on your farm, owned and guaranteed by us.
Installation and maintenance
Full installation with a ground-screw mast, calibration at setup, an annual service visit, sensor recalibration and replacement of faulty equipment.
The platform and your data
The installable web app, e-mail alerts in Romanian, the irrigation planner, 4G connectivity and EU data hosting — with continuous updates.
Two plans, the same equipment
The equipment, installation and maintenance are identical. You choose how far you take the data — from monitoring to the irrigation decision.
Monitor
- Moisture, temperature and EC at root depth
- Colour-coded parcel map + precipitation radar
- Basic e-mail alarms: drought, waterlogging, frost, heat, wind, offline sensors
- Local weather with ET₀ shown and an installable app (PWA)
- Sowing windows & crop stages
Pro
Everything in Monitor, plus:
- FAO-56 irrigation planner — when, how much, which parcel
- Predictive alarms: fungal disease, heat stress, yield-at-risk, spray window
- Satellite NDVI & EVI2 maps (Sentinel-2) — crop vigour
- Weekly Romanian crop prices + season reports with yield estimate
- Salinity (EC) guidance on irrigated parcels
Both plans are sized to your farm. Get an instant estimate in the calculator, or request a personalised offer.
How the subscription is sized
Area and parcels
The number of soil stations grows with the hectares monitored — every parcel gets at least one station.
Soil texture and terrain
Sandy soils and rolling terrain need a denser sensor network; uniform chernozem needs fewer.
Crops and irrigation
Sensor depth follows the crop's roots — from 30–50 cm for wheat up to 80–120 cm for sunflower — and irrigated parcels get denser coverage plus conductivity (EC) sensors.
Offers are indicative and valid for 30 days from issue. Prices exclude VAT.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if a sensor fails?
We replace it, at no extra cost. The equipment is our property, and replacement of faulty units plus the annual service visit are included in the subscription.
Do I need power or internet in the field?
No. The station that gathers the field data (gateway) runs on a solar panel and sends the data over 4G, with no mains power. The soil stations run on batteries that last for years.
Does it work without phone signal at the parcels?
Yes. Sensors talk to the station that gathers the data (gateway) over a long-range radio signal (LoRaWAN), kilometres away — only the gateway needs 4G signal, and we pick its spot at installation for exactly that.
How long does installation take?
We schedule it together and do all of it ourselves — from anchoring the mast to calibrating the sensors in the furrow. You get a configured account and training.
Do I need a building permit?
No. The whole install is temporary and fully removable — the mast sits on a ground screw and the weather station on ballast, with no poured foundations. We can relocate or take the equipment down without leaving anything permanent in the field.
How deep do the sensors measure?
It depends on the crop: from 30–50 cm for wheat up to 80–120 cm for sunflower, usually with one station at each end of the range. We pick the depths to match your crop, so you see exactly where the water reaches.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your farm data stays yours. When the subscription ends we make it available to you on request, and its processing is described in the privacy policy.
Can I see several farms in one account?
Yes — see all farms on one map, each with its status, and jump straight into any of their parcels.
