Crop-adapted soil monitoring

The measuring depth follows each crop's own roots, not a fixed number: 30–50 cm for wheat and barley, 40–60 cm for rapeseed, 50–80 cm for soybean, 60–90 cm for maize, and 80–120 cm for sunflower — usually with one station at each end of the range, so you see the whole active root zone. Where salt in the soil can cause trouble — irrigated parcels, salty soils or salt-sensitive crops — we also fit sensors that measure it (EC). The 'too dry' and 'too wet' thresholds are computed for your soil type, not from one-size-fits-all numbers that can mislead you.

Every day we work out the soil water balance with the FAO-56 method — the international standard for crops' water needs. We account for how much water the crop loses through evaporation (measured by the weather station in the field), how much it uses at its current growth stage, and how much rain the forecast expects. The result: when to irrigate, how much, and on which parcel.

Alarms and notifications

28 alarm types, classified into three severity tiers (critical / major / minor) and sent by e-mail and phone notification in Romanian: from deep drought and waterlogging to stage-aware frost and heat, strong wind, disease risk, salinity, irrigation need, low batteries and sensors that stopped reporting. With configurable quiet hours, so the soil doesn't call you at 3 a.m.

Parcel map

Each parcel coloured by the real state of its soil water. When a parcel has several sensor nests you see the average of fresh readings, while the parcel's status follows its driest layer — a parcel is only as safe as its driest point. On the map you can switch on extra layers: a rain radar and satellite maps that show where the crop is growing more weakly (NDVI · Pro).

05 / weather

Weather and ET0

A weather station right next to your parcels: temperature, humidity, wind and rain. From those we also work out how much water the crop loses through evaporation, when dew forms and how hot it really feels. The daily forecast feeds straight into the irrigation plan.

Installable app, works offline

The platform is a progressive web app (PWA): install it on your phone like a native app, it opens instantly and keeps working when the signal in the field is weak.

07 / crop

Growth stages, based on your hybrid

Track each parcel's growth stage — maize, wheat, barley, sunflower, soybean or rapeseed. You can pick the exact hybrid you sowed (Pioneer, LG, Syngenta and other hybrids grown across Romania), so the season length comes from its own characteristics rather than a broad maturity band. Stages are worked out from the heat accumulated in the field (growing degree days), so they follow how the weather actually goes. You also get a few pointers for your hybrid — the right herbicide window, disease and pest resistance, recommended plant density. The irrigation plan adjusts to the current stage, and the history shows how the season went.

11 / reports

Reports and yield estimatePro

At season end you get a report for every parcel: how it did on water, how much you produced (estimated) and what the harvest is worth at indicative market prices. On irrigated parcels we also factor in how much the salt in the soil mattered. The estimate accounts for water only — not disease, hail or lack of nitrogen — so it is a solid guide for decisions, with a ±15–20% margin, not a promise. (It is built on the international FAO-56, FAO-33 and FAO-29 methods.)

12 / NDVI+EVI2

Satellite NDVI & EVI2 mapsPro

Satellite imagery (Sentinel-2) laid over your parcels shows where the crop grows well and where it is weaker — with two vegetation indices: NDVI (the classic) and EVI2, more robust over dense canopy and less affected by bare soil. Spot the trouble patches before you notice them from the tractor and tie them to soil moisture and the irrigation plan.

13 / predictive

Early warningsPro

Beyond the soil thresholds, the platform watches the weather and the crop's stage and warns you ahead: frost or heat risk right at the sensitive stage of the crop, strong wind on the way, fungal disease risk, and the right window to spray. It alerts you before, not after.
